Old Round Barn

Old Round Barn

MOENTER BARN: Once located on the South side of Old 30-South, 1 mile East of Delphos near Lehman Road, the barn on the late Elmer Moenter farm was built for Moenter’s father, Frank Moenter, by contractors John Werts (1st) and Fred Kunz (2nd) between 1906 and 1914. The Barn had an elevated threshing floor at the bank elevation and a basement three feet below ground level. The barn has been demolished since 1976, and the farm is now owned by Moenter’s son, Gary.  This barn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
