Civil War Veterans Monument located at Library

This civil war monument was erected in 1909 by Reul Post Number 85 of the G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) to honor veterans from 1861 to 1865. It was placed in Delphos' first park, a plot of land donated to the town by Father Bredeick. It was located on West Second Street where the Delphos Public Library was built in 1912.

This monument was moved in October 2005 to the new Veterans Memorial Park at the corner of Main and Fifth Streets.
