237 North Franklin Street
The Marks House, located at 237 North Franklin Street, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This mansion was built in the Queen Anne style probably in the 1890s. The Queen Anne style was highly ornamented and featured a prominent tower or turret. This house was built by Alex Shenk and after his death on January 2, 1916, it was eventually sold to Jacob Marks for $5500.
